OC Executive Networking Group

Topic: Your Personal Value Proposition – Creating + Communicating What You Bring to the Deal

This is the first topic in a series: Leveraging the Consultants Approach to Business Development in Landing Your Next Role.

This OC Executive Networking Group is a fast-paced, topic-driven, 90-minute session of interactive sharing and learning in your personal/professional network that and a apart of the foundation for your on-going career management – for what you do know – and for what you would like to do next.

Premise of the Series: Experienced executives and experts are highly compensated for delivering even higher value to the firm. When in transition, executives can learn from the strategies of consultants who pursue their next deals by doing things like:

  • Clarifying their “niche” of services and skills offered to avoid confusion
  • Communicating a “results mechanism” (process/skills) that delivers promised value
  • Establishing oneself as the thought leader in the area of the job-to-be-done

In this session, the discussion will start with a brief presentation of the key elements of the “value proposition”; that is, how to structure and communicate the economic value of your contribution to a business – that represents a significant ROI to the firm that hires you.

Subsequent sessions will continue the discussion to build further on the consultants approach to business development listed above.

Come join in the discussion!

The facilitator of this monthly session is the CEO of Pipeline Strategies Consulting, Tom Oser.
