Prior to landing your new position, were you currently working or in transition? In transition

How did you get connected to the company where you landed your new role? As my first point of contact, I reached out to the CEO, but I was ultimately hired by a former colleague that is now with the company.

What allowed you to stand out during the interview process? A one-page bio that provided quick insights into my background, accomplishments, and character.

Did you encounter any challenges while being vetted for this new position? If so, how did you overcome them? The process tried my patience and I had to turn down another role in order to ultimately land this position.

If you could give an in-transition executive any piece of advice, what would it be? Persevere. Network with anyone you can meet with, share a one-pager with your target companies, and ask others for new contacts to reach out to. Put in the hours of a full time job and more.

What events and/or resources offered by the Executive Network have helped enhance your career? I participated in McDermott + Bull webinars. I really enjoyed them and found that they had a helpful, uplifting, and positive message.
