Newly-Landed Position & Company: Senior Vice President, BVK

Prior to landing your new position, were you currently working or in-transition?  Working as an interim CMO.

How did you get connected to the company where you landed your new role?  I worked with BVK across several corporate marketing positions in the past 15 years.

In your estimation, what allowed you to stand-out during the interview process?  Authenticity. Of course I prepared for the interview, but in the end, I believe genuinely connecting with each interviewer is what created the offer.

Did you encounter any challenges while being vetted for this new position?  If so, how did you overcome them?  This is a new position that we created to bring me into the company. We crafted the structure of my role together.

If you could give an in-transition executive any piece of advice, what would it be?  Actually 2 pieces of advice were critical to me, so I will pass them on: get clarity about what you are seeking and do the work of networking having fun along the way.

Bonus Question: What events and/or resources offered by the Executive Network have helped enhance your career?  The Roundtables and associated Facilitators were invaluable.
